DevOps Engineer

Codaxy builds software solutions for clients across various industries and is increasingly focused on developing its own products. As we expand, we are looking for an accomplished DevOps Engineer to become the primary authority on DevOps within the company, reporting directly to the Head of IT and collaborating closely with several development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Own the DevOps function. Design, implement, and continuously improve company-wide DevOps practices.
Drive reliability and security. Ensure the availability, performance, and protection of all production and staging environments.
Automate everything. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
Manage cloud & clusters. Operate and optimize AWS services and Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters.
Instrument and observe. Deploy and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to guarantee rapid fault detection and response.
Document clearly. Produce and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation and architecture diagrams that keep developers, QA, and leadership on the same page.
Collaborate effectively. Partner with development teams to align infrastructure with product needs and champion DevOps best practices company-wide.

Required Experience & Skills

Docker expertise—hands-on experience building, optimizing, and troubleshooting containers in production
Kubernetes expertise (OpenShift advantageous) in production environments.
AWS proficiency across core services (EC2, EKS/ECS, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.).
Proven track record with GitLab CI/CD or comparable tooling; familiarity with container registries, secure image storage and promotion.
Hands-on scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles and threat mitigation.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and take complete ownership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Terraform or other IaC tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Pulumi).
Experience with Helm, Argo CD, or comparable GitOps solutions.
Familiarity with service mesh.
Familiarity with cost-optimization techniques.
